Nutritional Program

Nutritional Assessment and Counseling

By reviewing medical documentation (blood and urine test results, medical history) and anthropometric measurements such as measuring body weight and height, waist and hip circumference, determining the proportion of muscle and fat tissue, necessary information about the client/patient is collected, assessing the nutritional status of the organism. It follows the calculation of body mass index (BMI - Body Mass Index), ideal body weight, and basal metabolic rate, and the body constitution is estimated. Depending on the measured parameters and the level of physical activity, the nutritional-energy needs of the clients are defined. Eating habits are analyzed, and necessary corrections – dietary guidelines – are introduced. Nutritional counseling includes:

  • Anthropometric measurements (weighing, measuring height, and waist and hip circumference)
  • Measurement of body composition (percentage of muscle mass and total and visceral fat tissue in the body)
  • Assessment of the nutritional status and needs of the body (BMI, ITM, basal metabolism, nutritional – energy needs)
  • Analysis of eating habits
  • Advice and guidelines on how to improve nutrition and correct mistakes

Body Composition Analysis

It is done using the InBody 270 device, which quickly, accurately, and painlessly measures the composition of your body. In addition to the data on how much you weigh, the device will provide insight into numerous parameters used in creating your individual nutrition program, helping us to track your progress more easily and accurately. Parameters we measure:

  • weight (kg)

  • body mass index – BMI

  • fat tissue (%)

  • fat tissue (kg)

  • rating of visceral fat

  • muscle mass (kg)

  • total body water TBW – TBW (kg)

  • proportion of body water in total body weight – TBW (%)

  • total mineral amount (kg)

  • basal metabolic rate – BMR (kcal, kj)

  • ideal body weight (kg)

  • degree of obesity (%)

  • predicted values of fat tissue (kg and %)

  • physical condition rating

Why is it important to do a body analysis? The number on the scale means little to us if we don’t know what your body is made of. The analysis of body composition is important for insight into the actual state of your organism so that timely and precise action can be taken regarding any problem that may exist. Muscle is much heavier than fat, which is why a higher proportion of muscle leads to a higher number on the scale. This in itself does not represent a problem but is quite positive. Therefore, we may have two people who weigh the same but have completely different body compositions, and as a result, different overall health conditions, energy, and nutritional needs. It is precisely for this reason that it is necessary to check the ratio and proportion of fat and muscle.

Menu Creation and Individual Nutrition Plan

Your nutrition is created considering:

  • the goal you want to achieve (weight loss, increase in body mass, increase in muscle mass, body composition change, maintenance of the current body mass…),
  • health status (your menu is customized to your health condition to help alleviate discomfort and improve health),
  • level and type of physical activity,
  • considering the foods you enjoy consuming,
  • amount of free time and time remaining for meal preparation.

What can you expect from our menus? Menus are easy to follow because they do not take much time for meal preparation. Meals are ready within 30 minutes. Seasonal foods and ingredients characteristic of our region are used, as well as those that can be bought at a nearby store. Menus are created for a duration of 7, 14, 21 days, and one month. The menu is structured as a set of meals for one day (usually 3-5). Within each meal, the ingredients you should use are listed, as well as how much you need per meal (amounts are shown per servings and in grams so you can choose what is easier for you to follow), and under the ingredients is a recipe for preparing the meal. Menus are available to you via web and mobile applications, as well as in PDF format, and with each menu, you receive a shopping list and explanations for purchasing the necessary products (where to find them and how to recognize them).

Monitoring and Control

After you receive your nutrition program and menus, you start making changes to your diet to achieve your desired and set goals. Changing habits is not an easy job, so we are available as support for any questions, clarifications, and motivation for further progress during this process. Control check-ups take place 1-2 times a month to assess your progress through brief consultations and answer any questions. Body analysis and measurements are repeated to determine changes in weight, body composition, centimeters… and according to all new parameters and your information, we adjust the nutrition plan for the continuation of the program. To facilitate the process for you:

  • the nutritionist is available via phone or apps for any questions
  • we have created guides and cookbooks as added value and access to relevant information
  • we closely monitor your efforts and motivate you
  • group support is available, which will be held as agreed, serving for sharing experiences, providing support, and empowering during the process of changing lifestyle and dietary habits
