Pregnancy Management

Pregnancy management refers to a set of medical practices, counseling, and monitoring conducted during pregnancy with the aim of ensuring the health and well-being of the pregnant woman and her unborn child. The goal of pregnancy management is to identify and manage any health issues that may arise during pregnancy, and to provide support and advice to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Throughout pregnancy management, the gynecologist and midwife will educate the pregnant woman about the following aspects: Regular prenatal check-ups: The pregnant woman regularly visits a doctor or midwife to monitor her health and that of her baby. Check-ups include measuring blood pressure, checking weight, measuring belly growth, listening to the fetal heartbeat, and laboratory tests. Screening and diagnostic tests: Various tests, including ultrasound, blood tests, and urine tests, are used to check the health of the fetus and detect any abnormalities or issues. Tests such as NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing), amniocentesis, or CVS (chorionic villus sampling) may be recommended to detect genetic abnormalities. Counseling and education: Providing information and advice on healthy nutrition, physical activity, quitting harmful habits such as smoking or alcohol consumption, and other health aspects during pregnancy. Managing health conditions: Monitoring and treating any existing or newly developed health issues, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, or preeclampsia. Psychological support: Providing support and managing emotional changes that may accompany pregnancy, including anxiety or prenatal depression. Preparing for delivery: Counseling on the birth plan, techniques for delivery, and preparing for parenting.
